Food Access And Cooking Classes

Access Free Food at Mountain Resource Center

Individuals and families can visit our on-site food share market once a week. We are set up much like a store. Individuals self-select what food to bring home with them each week. In our food share, our goal is to offer healthy and diverse food options, including fresh produce, whole grains, meat, and dairy products. We provide personal care items, cleaning supplies, diapers, formula, and infant care items. We partner with local grocery stores and rescue thousands of pounds of food that may be thrown away. By visiting our food share market, you are helping to reduce food waste in our community.

Access Free Food at Local Stops Within the Community

The goal of our mobile food share is to bring fresh food to several local stops throughout western Jefferson County and eastern Park County. The mobile food share offers a selection of produce, meat, dairy products, and much more. Individuals have the choice to access our onsite food share or our mobile food share once a week. See below for information about our mobile food share schedule and where we stop throughout the week.

We use ingredients that are in season, and often can be found in our on-site food share market. Each class features hands-on instruction, nutrition lessons on various topics, and a shared meal. Our cooking classes are a wonderful way to build your cooking skills and connect with community members.
