MRC Preschool Invests in the Classroom
Preschool isn’t just childcare. In our classroom, every feature is intentional—from the toys, games, and learning materials to the layout, play stations, and even the furniture. Each element is designed to engage students, support their development, and enrich their early learning experience.
Thanks to a generous donation from Community Nest and support from Colorado Shines, MRC’s Preschool recently made several upgrades that make a big difference. Our new block organizer shelf helps little ones learn to sort, categorize, and stay organized by providing a clear place for each type and size of block. This foundational pre-academic skill sets children up for success in kindergarten and beyond.
We also added a round table perfectly sized for preschoolers, giving them the independence to bring over puzzles, games, and learning materials without needing help moving chairs or reaching supplies. A new storage shelf makes cleanup easier and reinforces those early organizational skills, while our upgraded dry-erase easels support fine motor development and early literacy.
These investments, simple as they may seem, have an outsized impact on our little learners. Each improvement helps create a classroom where children can explore confidently, practice independence, and build the skills that will serve them throughout their education. With the support of our community partners, we’re helping a strong learning environment grow even stronger—so every child can thrive.
