Colorado Gives Day: Our Neighbors Showed Up Again
Throughout the year, more families have turned to MRC for support, whether through early childhood education, family and veterans’ services, case management, emergency assistance, or the Food Share Market. With rising need across so many areas of our work, and with budget cuts affecting the entire organization, we were concerned that donor fatigue might set in as we approached Colorado Gives Day.
But once again, our neighbors showed their heart. Gifts of every size came in throughout the day, and as our team entered donations, we couldn’t stop smiling at the generosity we were witnessing. Our community was stepping up for one another, our neighbors were supporting each other, and our mountain towns were showing their strength.
We know we’re not out of the woods. Funding that was cut shows no signs of returning, and the need in our mountain communities continues to grow. But Colorado Gives Day 2025 reminded us of something profound: our neighbors are the heart of our vision for a community that is healthy, secure, and connected. Your generosity ensures that every one of our programs has the support needed to meet families where they are and help them move forward with stability, dignity, and hope.
As we look ahead, we invite you to stay connected. Many neighbors choose to get involved by volunteering, others spread the word, and some simply stay in touch. However you take part, your involvement helps create a community where everyone has the support they need to thrive.
