Join Us for a Reverse Advent to Support Our Community

This holiday season, Mountain Resource Center is joining with Conifer Community Church to make the spirit of giving tangible. Together, we’re inviting everyone in our community to take part in a Reverse Advent—a simple, meaningful way to help local families through the holidays.

Instead of opening a treat each day, participants will add one non-perishable food item per day to a box, following an Advent-style calendar of suggested items. By the end, you’ll have a box filled with pantry staples and shelf-stable foods that will help neighbors facing food insecurity during the winter months.

It’s easy to take part:

  • Find a box and set it aside for your Reverse Advent items.
  • Feel free to decorate your box to make it festive and fun!
  • Each day, add one non-perishable food item (no glass containers, please).
  • Once your box is full, drop it off at Mountain Resource Center before December 18th or at Conifer Community Church by December 22nd.

This is a secular, community-wide effort—anyone can participate! Whether you’re a local family, business, or group of friends, this is a wonderful way to share generosity and hope with our mountain neighbors.

Members of Conifer Community Church can learn more directly from their church, but everyone is welcome to join in supporting this partnership.

Together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes hungry this holiday season.

You are also welcome to make a monetary donation to our Community Health program which helps to feed our neighbors in need, at www.mrcco.org
