Crisis intervention and case management services for families and individuals in need

  • Housing, transportation, employment, and utilities assistance
  • Advocacy and referral services to other helping resources

Mountain area families needing support services and emergency assistance turn to Mountain Resource Center’s Family Advocacy Program. In 2006, 1,908 families and individuals utilized the program’s crisis intervention and case management services, which provided healthcare, food, shelter, and utilities assistance, and linkages to other health and human service organizations. Approximately 45% of these families reported income at or below federal poverty levels. Many families were headed by teens, single parents, or the aged. Past and current programs include crisis and advocacy services, case management, rent and utilities assistance, and advocacy, information, and referral.
